City Split is situated in Dalmatia, on the Dalmatian coast and it represents the center of southern Croatia being at the same time the biggest city on the south. This city is from all sides  surrounded with mountains – mountain Mosor on the north and north-east, hill Kozjak on the north-west, hill Perun on the east, while the old part of the city, its center, is situated at the foot of the hill Marjan.
